FreshBooks  

There are a lot of small businesses that need help with their accounting and the organization of the accounting process. FreshBooks can help as it is one of the all-in-one accounting apps that can be used for various processes. You will be able to track expenses, create invoices for your customers and track all of your payments.   

The FreshBooks app is available for both iOS and Android devices. You can get a 30-day trial when you first sign up. After the trial period, the monthly plans will start at $19.95 a month.   

VAT Global  

VAT can be a tricky part of accounting and this is where VATGlobal comes to the fore. The software is available to all businesses to help them keep their VAT in shape and organized and is one of the best in the industry.  

VATGlobal has a wide array of great information on site too and is a great resource for those looking to get a better grasp of their VAT and taxes.   

TurboTax Home And Business  

One of the most recognizable names when it comes to tax help is TurboTax. TurboTax is offered by Intuit and has an app which costs small business owners only $99.99. While this might seem like a lot, the price does include the cost of one e-file of a tax return.   

The app claims that when you use it, you will be able to identify and get the most of your potential tax deductions. You can also use the app to create your W2 and 1099 forms for all of your employees. During the rest of the year, the app can be used to track expenses and there is a feature which will help you value the depreciation of your assets.   

TaxCaster  

Another app from Intuit is TaxCaster. This is an app for your mobile device. The app has been designed to give you a glimpse into the possible tax return you could expect at the end of the year.   

IRS2Go  

This is an app from the Internal RevenueService and it is available on both Android and iOS. This app has been created to allow you to track your refund from the IRS. It is also able to help you with your tax preparation information. You will also be able to request tax return information and account transcripts via the app. However, when the IRS gets your request from the app, they will send you the information via mail.   

MoBu  

This is one of the few Windows apps that you can run on both your mobile device and your computer. The app costs only $6.99, but there is also a free version that you are able to use. However, the free version is limited.   

MoBu will use graphs and charts to help you get an idea of your finances. The app has been marketed for personal finance, but self-employed people can also get some use from the features. The description of the app from the Microsoft app store states:  

When other applications offer you the option to enter and track your expenses and income, MoBu will let you define savings and expenditure budgets. You will also be able to fully analyze your financial situation and simulate for the future.   

Mint  

This is another Intuit app, but this one is free and aims at helping you track and organize all of your expenses. The app will organize your expenses to let you know where your money is being spent. This information will then be presented in an easy to read and understand graph and chart.   

This is a very good app for any small business and entrepreneur who wants to control all of their expenses. There is also a forecast feature which allows you to see your future expenses and savings.   

InDinero  

This is one of the apps that has been designed for mobile and desktop use. The app claims that you will be able to perform all of your financial tasks from accounting to tax with it. Charts and graphs are used on the dashboard to present all of your financial information.   

There are 3 levels of paid service that you can sign up to with this app and they are based on the size of the business. However, you have to request an invite to use the service. Your application will then be reviewed by the company before you can get the app.   

TaxACT  

This is a very popular tax software that allows you to file your federal and state taxes. The app states that you can file your 1065, 1120S, 1120 and 1040 Schedule C returns with the app. The free trial version is limited but offers a single federal return. The premium offerings will begin at $12.99 and include assistance for filing your business taxes.
